More Ramblings From 12am

Hey Guy,

I say guy because so far I have had one person say to me that they like my blog, and I go to school with him so it doesn't even count...

Speaking of school, what is up with homework? I mean you get some one day, and then you don't get some for a couple, and then your teachers decide to pile you up with homework on the same day. It's a conspiracy I tell you. A conspiracy.

But enough about my troubles, I noticed that the new health care bill in America is getting quite the air time on most good news places (namely phillyd on youtube) and I was wondering what was up with that? I don't get it. When people I see talk about it, I can't see anything wrong with it, then I see people that decide that it would be benificial to start slagging it and how it'll never work. And I ask, why can't it?

Sure it wont fix stupidness but medical attention is great for pretty much everything else that could possibly be wrong with you. Hernia? No problemo, just come on round for surgery. A brain tumour? Come along before you die.

See that's whats wrong with the world today, it doesn't make any sense. I leave you today (this morning?) with a funny line (lines?) that goes with what I'm saying:

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as: Knowing when to come in out of the rain; why the early bird gets the worm; Life isn’t always fair; and maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don’t spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).

His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended
from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.

It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an Aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an
abortion.

Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn’t defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason. He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers; I Know My Rights, I Want It Now, Someone Else Is To Blame, and I’m A Victim.

Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone

My First Ramble

Greetings All,

I come to you from the far off country of Australia... where we ride kangaroos to school and back. Our hats dangling corks in front of our faces. Our footy players taking shits in hotel hallways.

On the topic of stupid football players, what ever happened to a little common sense. Apparently sport players these days have none. This day and age we all expect kids to grow up in an environment that isn't doomed by stupid role models that decide that they are better than us. Take Tiger Woods for example... he's an idiot and deserves what he gets, but would we treat him differently if he was a regular person? YES, we wouldn't demand some random public apology. I think Hungry Beast summed it up well enough... Public Apologies are a little but BULLSHIT.

Speaking of Hungry Beast, for all of you who don't know what the show is. It is about topics that relate to the general Australian Populous. Some of the stuff in the program is very informative, but then it still takes time to tell a bit of a joke here and there (Cooktown anyone?). Go look it up on youtube or something and have a good laugh at something that might actually catch your attention. But, alas, I am just one lowly interwebs user. What will my opinion matter to you, why are you even reading this? And why aren't I asleep at 1am local time?

Ahh, I feel as though I may be becoming an insomniac with my strange sleeping habits. Oh well.

I leave you tonight (this morning?) a quote from one of the most influential people in my life, my friend Gideon,

"Cause life is like a woman, u never know what type of sandwich she may bring you. Usually its boring vegemite. Sometimes its fun and exciting crunchy peanut butter. And occasionally even avocado, chicken schitzel and cucumber. But whatever happens, she will always bring you that sandwich. Because that's life, my friend"
